Free weights & Hammer Strength machines

You are ready to start lifting weights but don’t know whether you should opt for machine weights or free weights (dumb bells and barbells). Perhaps you are in good shape, but have sustained an injury and don’t want to lose your conditioning while you recuperate. Or, maybe you have always wondered which is better, free weights or machine weights. As you may have guessed, there are benefits to both.

Of course, for the best workout, you should incorporate both into your exercise routine. Maximum Fitness carries an extensive variety of both free weights and Hammer Strength Machines by LifeFitness as well as numerous cardiovascular exercising machines.

Certified Personal Trainers

As an added benefit to our customers Maximum Fitness offers one on one sessions with our certified personal trainers. Our trainers will assess your fitness level and design a program specifically designed for you that will not only get you in great shape but keep you motivated. We will gently push you past your comfort level-something difficult to do on your own.

The first session is devoted to assessing fitness level, body measurements, health history, and personal goals. Be prepared to step on a scale, have your body fat tested, and answer specific questions about your goals. After your first initial session the rest of your time will be spent on strength training and cardio.

A typical session will consist of the following activities:

  • At least 30 minutes of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio
  • Personal guidance to help you reach your goals
  • Education about strength training, cardio, and basic nutrition
  • Tracking your progress so that you can see results
