About Tiffany Lucey:

After more than ten years working in lending and putting together initial public offerings on Wall Street, while constantly attending school, Tiffany Lucey transitioned into education.

As an educator she has taught middle school through college-level students in the areas of  economics, mathematics and computer science, and become known for her interdisciplinary approach to learning and differentiated instruction utilizing data-driven decision making.

She was awarded Teacher of the Year, has administered and written grants and served as a Curriculum Coordinator.

Now she is a Supervisor of Educational Technology responsible for helping teachers better utilize technology in their classrooms, and linking curriculum and instruction.

She has worked with staff to develop a makerspace in each of the 19 Toms River Regional Schools.  A forever learner moving along the continuum from STEM to STEAM to a leader in the Maker Movement, Tiffany is a key innovator and founder of the 3rd annual FREE Jersey Shore Makerfest.org event taking place this October 14 at Toms River Regional Schools Pine Belt Arena.

She values student centered, problem based learning with the supports of materials, tools and student choice in prototyping while recognizing that it’s OK to fail, and develop the grit to get back up and try again.
